Special Event Parking/Departmental Visitor Parking
Groups Larger than 10:
If you are organizing a large University event or welcoming a visiting group (such as for convocation), please fill out Departmental Event Permit Form. To ensure your request is processed, please submit it at least two weeks in advance.
If your request is approved, the University department hosting the event may be charged parking fees, along with additional costs for services like traffic direction or signage.
Groups Less than 10:
Please fill out the Departmental Guest Permit Form or visitors have the following parking payment options available:
Parking Lot Closures
When a parking lot is closed or its usage is changed for a special event, the University will post notifications both on its website and at the affected lots, typically several days in advance.
Violations of Parking Rules
Vehicles left in closed or restricted lots during a University special event may be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense.

Important Notes:
- Departmental permits paid with funding or grants require signatures from both the Chair/Dean and Vice President before they can be processed.
- Service vehicle parking availability cannot be guaranteed. If space is unavailable, contractors must use public parking and pay the regular fees without reimbursement.
- University service employees may not use service vehicle spaces for personal parking.
- University vehicles must park in designated fleet vehicle spaces, Red Zones, Yellow Zones, or lot P30. Service Vehicle spots are no longer allowed.
- Overnight Parking Permits: Staff may provide up to three vehicle license plates that will be linked to their Overnight Parking Permit. Vehicles not linked to the permit will be at risk of ticketing for Restricted Overnight parking.
Reminder: Please remember to submit your departmental parking permit request well in advance to avoid any delays or issues, especially during peak times or large events. Always check availability before finalizing your event details.
