Parking on Campus: What You Need to Know for Fall 2024
What’s new!
Starting September 1, 2024, the following changes will take effect:
- DAILY Permits:
- Daily permits for P11 will no longer be available.
- The discounted daily permit will still be available in P30.
- Quantities are limited and can sell out.
- If your preferred permit is not available, you must select another option or pay and park in the paybyphone/HONK locations
- FALL Permits - Fall Semester permits will be available for purchase starting on July 24, 2024 at 8:00 am

- Staff/Faculty, Graduate Students and Commuting students may purchase black, red, or yellow zone permits, depending on availability.
- Residence students may purchase yellow zone permits. Residence students are required to park in designated lots located near their residence locations.
- Permits are available on a first come, first served basis.
- NEW Permit Options:

- Gordon Hall Only Permits - Available for faculty, staff, and students.
Allows you to park at the Gordon Hall Lot ONLY, for a reduced monthly rate.

- P59 Only Monthly Permits – Available for faculty, staff and commuting students. Allows you to park in P59 lot ONLY for a reduced monthly rate.
- P30 Only Monthly Permits – Available for faculty, staff and commuting students. Allows you to park in P30 lot ONLY for a reduced monthly rate.
- Changes to EV parking restrictions:
- 4 HOUR Daily Max limit is being removed from EV chargers in P15, P48, P49, P30 and P59.
- 4 HOUR Daily max limit still applies in P4, P12, P23, and P31.
- Your vehicle must be moved to a regular permit area when charging is complete or not required.
- NEW Parking Space Allocations:
- Yellow Zone areas: P15, P18 & Planet Bean Coffee Shop Lot (P81)
- Red Zone areas: East Ring Road, Dundas Lane, P9 P11, P20, P32, P33, P35, P36, P51, and P64
- Increase of 325 yellow spaces

How to purchase a permit
To purchase a permit, you’ll need an account with Parking Services.
- Complete a Student or Faculty/Staff Parking Account Request form online. If you had a parking permit in 2023-24, skip this step.
- Once you have an account, visit the Parking Services Website.
- Log in with your central log-in credentials to purchase a permit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I won’t be coming to campus until September. Do I need to buy my permit in July?
It is encouraged to purchase a permit at this time. Permits are sold on a first come first served basis and quantities are limited. Payment is required at the time of purchase. For more information on permit types and availability, check out the parking website.
Q: I’m coming to campus only a few days a week. What permit is right for me?
It is recommended if you are going to be on campus 2 days or more a week than you purchase a monthly/semester permit.
There are a variety of daily permits with varying costs and locations. These daily permits are available at 12:01am each day.
Daily permits are available first come first served and quantities are limited.
Q: What Permit Zone can I buy?
Staff, Faculty, Graduate students and Commuting Students: Black Zone, Red Zone, Yellow Zone, P59 Only, P30 Only, and Gordon Hall Only.
Residence Students: Yellow Zone. Residence students are required to park in designated lots located near their residence locations.
Annual, Semester and Monthly permit options are available. You pay the same monthly amount whether you buy an annual, semester or monthly pass.
