Question Answer
Do I need a Government issued MTO Accessible Permit to park at an accessible space on campus? Yes! A valid MTO permit issued by the Ministry of Transportation is required to park at an MTO Accessible space on campus. If you don’t have a valid permit or need short-term accessible parking, please contact Student Accessibility Services (students) or Occupational Health and Wellness (staff).
Is my U of G parking permit valid at MTO Accessible spaces? Yes! Valid Parking Permits issued by Campus Parking Services can be used as payment at MTO Accessible Spaces on Campus. You must still have a valid MTO permit to park in these spaces.
Will I have a reserved Accessible Parking Space? No. MTO Accessible spaces on campus are not reserved. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis. For more permanent solutions, please contact Student Accessibility Services (students) or Occupational Health and Wellness (staff).
Accessible Parking for Visitors and Short-Term Parking If you are visiting the campus or need short-term accessible parking, you can park at any MTO Accessible space and pay using PaybyPhone. Each space is clearly marked with an MTO sign, and payment instructions are provided. Don’t forget to display your MTO permit.
Where can I find the Accessible Parking Guidelines? The Accessible Parking Regulations are detailed in the Parking Policy and the Summary of Violations and Fines Infractions.
